Experience the best of Northern Tanzania in six days! You’ll be visiting Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Park, and the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and great views of the animals on your game drives. This itinerary also offers a unique game drive and walking safari in the Ikoma Wildlife Management Area. After the safari you will make your way to the tropical island of Zanzibar. Here you can relax, discover Stone Town, and enjoy boat tours.
DAY 1; Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. The scenic drive takes approximately 1–1.5 hours, passing local villages, coffee plantations, and views of Mount Meru on clear days. Upon arrival at Mvuli Hotel, you can relax and recover from your journey, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, optional activities such as visiting Lake Duluti can be arranged for a gentle introduction to Tanzania.

Day 2; Kilimanjaro Day Hike – Shira Route

Enjoy a scenic day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Shira Route, beginning with a morning pickup from Arusha and a drive to Londorossi Gate for registration. Continue to the Shira Plateau, where your guided hike takes you through stunning moorland landscapes with spectacular views of Kibo Peak and Mount Meru. Pause for a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before descending in the afternoon. After the hike, return to Arusha for relaxation and an overnight stay at Mvuli Hotel Arusha, reflecting on an unforgettable mountain experience.

DAY 3: Arusha – Maasai Village - Tarangire National Park

Day 4; Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu.

After breakfast in Tarangire National Park, depart with a scenic drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse park nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a game drive through lush groundwater forests and open plains, where you may spot tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and a variety of birdlife including flamingos along the lake shores. In the afternoon, continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving at Mvuli hotel Ngorongoro. Settle in, enjoy the cool highland air, and relax over dinner surrounded by beautiful forested scenery.

Day 5; Lake Eyasi ( Hadzabe & Datooga) Culture Experience – Karatu

After an early breakfast in Karatu, depart for Lake Eyasi, a remote and culturally rich area located at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, meet the indigenous Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. Experience their traditional way of life through a guided bush walk and hunting demonstration. Later, visit the Datooga tribe, known for their skilled blacksmithing and pastoral lifestyle, and gain insight into their cultural practices and daily routines. After these authentic cultural encounters, return to Karatu in the afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater → Central Serengeti

Start early with a descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich calderas, offering prime chances to spot the Big Five including the rare endangered black rhinos grazing on the crater floor amid lush grasslands and soda lakes. DAY 8: Northern Serengeti – Fly to Zanzibar

After breakfast in Northern Serengeti, enjoy a final short game drive as you make your way to the airstrip for your flight. Board your scheduled bush flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar City, offering spectacular aerial views of the savannah fading into the Indian Ocean coastline. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the resort.

Day 9: Zanzibar Historical Visit
