It is still up for debate why these lions habitually climb trees, but viewing a pride relaxing in an acacia tree is an incredible site. The park is also famous for its elephants and huge numbers of baboons. Due to its varied landscape, it has an impressive range of other game including wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, dik-dik, lion and impala. This small park is also home to over 400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants.

Add to that an extraordinary population of resident and migratory animals in a constant bid for survival, and you will begin to understand why this place is often called the world as it was in the beginning”. As soon as you enter the park, the wildlife viewing will begin! Search for leopards and lions and watch in awe as zebras and wildebeests appear from amidst the woodlands.

You will opt to have a hot lunch at the camp or eat a picnic in the park. We strongly recommend that you wake up early for a game drive in order to enjoy the sunrise in the middle of the bush while spotting wild animals in the park. Winding up your day for dinner and rest at your Campsite where your Chef will prepare delicious meals for you.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

This park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and is also considered the eighth Natural Wonder of the World. A visit to this amazing place is the main draw for tourists coming to Tanzania and undoubtedly a world-class attraction! Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze while lions sleep and laze in the sun nearby. At dawn, the endangered black rhino will return to the thick cover of the crater forests, after grazing on the dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Just outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pasture and through highland slopes. They live alongside the wildlife here as they have done for centuries.
